Abstract Details

To analyze the agreement of keratometric measurements with the Verion Measurement Module of Verion Image Guided System (Alcon Laboratories, Inc., Fort Worth, TX) and to compare the measured data to the results of the Lenstar LS 900 (Haag-streit AG, Koeniz, Switzerland) and Pentacam HR (Oculus, Wetzlar, Germany).

The measurements were conducted in 59 eyes of 31 patients that were scheduled for cataract surgery (mean age: 72.0 years, range: 56 to 83 years). Images and data were captured with the Verion Image Guided system, the Lenstar LS 900 and the Pentacam HR. The flattest and steepest keratometric data and the astigmatism axis were recorded. The astigmatism was converted to J0 and J45 vector components. Bland-Altman plots and analysis of keratometric data obtained by the Verion System and the differences compared to the other instruments were calculated.

There was no statistically significant differences between devices regarding the flattest, the steepest keratometric data, the diopter of astigmatism, the J0 and J45 vector components (p>0.05).

The keratometric data measured with Verion Image Guided System had no statistically significant differences from the data measured with the Lenstar LS900 and the Pentacam HR and can be efficiently used in the calculations of IOL power, toric IOL axis and arcuate incision arc size and placement.
