This study is to evaluate the post operative intermediate vision after implantation of the Bausch & Lomb AKREOS® (Model MI60) Intraocular Lens in adults requiring cataract surgery thus eliminating the need for reading glasses for most of the daily activities of pseudophakic patients .

A Prospective, Multi-Center Clinical Investigation to Evaluate the intermediate vision after targeting a slight monovision of (-1.0D) in the non-dominant eyes of 20 patients and targeting emmetropia in their dominant eyes with implantation of the Bausch & Lomb AKREOS® (Model MI60) Intraocular Lens with zero spherical aberrations which will mentain the inherited positive spherical aberrations of the cornea which in turns give better depth of focus.

All patients were scheduled for 1 day-1 Week -2 Weeks -1 Month post op follow up And results will be sent before the 1st of July.

Its possible to achieve very good intermediate vision while maintaining the far vision using monofocal IOLs.
